Charge Through the Rain

Charge through the rain and link the stars

And pine a flower’s master iowe

Gruntle forth, scarves askew

Flapping tailends, biting thread

Chop through the waters and break

Into yards. A gold rod, pious, drew,

And hardly pinced forth, but splashed

Flapping tailends, biting thread

A marathon of the waves, against

The tide. Close ears, eyes lacerated

Sniffling agains the torrent of churning rain

Flapping tailends, biting thread

Solitary drop dripping and dying

Cover up! The weight of the sea contains

And grows within its lithe body,

Flapping tailends, biting thread

SEVEN OF WANDS

THIS IS THE TAROT CHALLENGE, a 78-day writing challenge where everyday I pick out a random card from my tarot deck and write something about, against, inspired by, based on the card by the day’s end. The works can range from poetry to fiction to drama. When the card is from the major arcana, the title of the work should be the card name. When the card is from the minor arcana, the title can be different but the card drawn should be revealed at the end.

Apologies for being late. Inetrnet was down yesterday however this piece was written before I slept.
