ONE. She huffed and a clouded wisp came out. Triple lines appeared below her eyes, as her pouted chin sagged against her fist. Jagged lines flew out of her head as did a censored expletive in a bubble.
TWO. Her eyes expanded vertically, curvey tears at the lower half
THREE. Her face all red.
FOUR. At the back, he entered, eyes closed, his four-fingered hand snapping. A note blew out of his mouth
FIVE. She jumped, legs stretched all the way to the sides, braided hair held up magically. Fumes came out of her head and her mouth stretched to a platter. His eyes were wide-open, lips pursed, a question mark dangled atop him.
SIX. Her shoulders were hunched, her arm pointed out of the box. She lost her neck. He shrugged.
SEVEN. He nodded, smiling.

This is the 100 Songs Project, a 100-day writing challenge based on AFI’s 100 Years…100 Songs. Every day, I write a short poem, prose piece, or play based on, reacting to, rejecting, accepting, or doing something related to one of the songs in the top 100 list.
Please consider liking Deelaytful on Facebook. We’re doing a promotion in preparation for the 200th post in a couple of weeks. If we get 500 likes before the 200th post, I will be uploading a video of myself singing a medley of Disney Princesses songs on YouTube.
